Who we are, what we stand for, and how we bring property expertise and person-centred support together to help people build stability and independence.
To deliver reliable, person-centred housing-related support that helps people stay safe, sustain a tenancy, build independence, and move towards work, education or a settled home.
Supported housing brings accommodation together with support, supervision or care so people can live as independently as possible in their community — this is the definition set out in the Government's National Statement of Expectations. Housing-related support extends this further, helping people in sheltered housing, hostels, shared housing or their own home to sustain a tenancy and prevent homelessness.
Research by the National Housing Federation estimates that England has well over half a million supported housing units in operation, with roughly a quarter serving working-age adults — the group TEK Enterprises Ltd is focused on. The sector is also entering a new era of oversight: the Supported Housing (Regulatory Oversight) Act 2023 is introducing local licensing and National Supported Housing Standards built around five principles — person-centred, respectful, safe and responsive, effective, and well-led. We are building our own service around that same direction of travel.
